SALEM, Va. – Roanoke College Head Women's Basketball Carla Flaherty has announced the Maroons 2019-20 schedule.
The Maroons will open the season on Nov. 16-17 when it hosts its annual Jean Beamer Tip Off Classic. RC will take on D'Youville to start the tournament and then will face either Centre or North Carolina Wesleyan.
Roanoke will jump right into ODAC play on Nov. 20 when it hosts Randolph. After an out of league game with Mary Baldwin on Nov. 23, RC will host Randolph-Macon on Nov. 26.
The Maroons open December with back-to-back ODAC games at Guilford on Dec. 4 and Shenandoah on Dec. 7, before heading to Puerto Rico to face Elizabethtown on Dec. 18 and Illinois Tech on Dec. 19.
RC closes out 2019 by hosting its annual Susan Dunagan Holiday Classic in the Cregger Center. On Dec. 29, Roanoke will face Wooster and then will take on either Mary Washington or Kean on Dec. 30.
Roanoke will have three of its first four games at home to open up 2020. RC host Bridgewater on Jan. 2, Emory & Henry on Jan. 8 and Ferrum on Jan. 15.
Following a trip to R-MC on Jan. 18, RC will have back-to-back home games with Washington and Lee on Jan. 21 and Shenandoah on Jan. 25.
Roanoke will be at Randolph on Jan. 29 before opening February with a trip to Eastern Mennonite on Feb. 1.
Lynchburg (Feb. 5) and Virginia Wesleyan (Feb. 8) will make trips to Salem, before RC heads to Emory & Henry on Feb. 12 and Hollins on Feb. 19. The Maroons close out the regular season on Feb. 22 by hosting Eastern Mennonite.
The ODAC Tournament will begin on Feb. 24 with a play-in game before culminating with the final three rounds at the Salem Civic Center Feb. 27-March 1.
Last season, Roanoke had 18 wins, the most for the program since 2011. Roanoke also earned the seventh seed in the 2019 ODAC Tournament and would knock off second-seeded and nationally ranked Emory & Henry in the quarterfinals.
