The Lead: No. 17 Roanoke scored 12 goals in the second quarter alone as the Maroons opened ODAC play with a 25-3 win over Randolph on Saturday.
How it Happened:
- With the game scoreless, Owen Curry got RC on the board at the 7:22 mark and proved to be the first of six goals for the Maroons in the first quarter.
- Roanoke got a goal 31 seconds into the second quarter and would open a 10-0 advantage before Randolph got on the board with 10:33 to go in the half.
- RC would close the half with eight goals, the final coming off the stick of Wyatt Naylor with 2:31 to go, sending the Maroons to the locker room with an 18-1 lead.
- Roanoke outshot Randolph 67-13. The Maroons 25 goals are the most for RC since 2016 when it opened the season with a 24-9 win over Berry.
