Clay Massie joined the Roanoke staff in January of 2019.
Massie will help assist with the overall development of the Maroons position players.
"Working alongside Coach Mac, Coach Getman, and Coach Henry is truly a blessing,” said Massie. "Being able to work with coaches and players that have a winning mentality on and off the field is an honor. I look forward to getting after it and taking this group of guys back to the World Series with such a talented staff."
The Fredericksburg, VA native played at Ferrum College in Ferrum, VA from 2013-2016. He played middle infield for the Ferrum Panthers while spending some time as third baseman his senior year. Massie also worked there as a student assistant in 2017.
During his four years with the Panthers, they won the USA South regular season conference championship in 2014 and 2016. He was also named on the USA South All-Sportsmanship team his senior year.
