The Roanoke College volleyball team stepped out of conference as they traveled to Mary Baldwin looking for consecutive road wins. After sweeping Randolph on Tuesday, the Maroons repeated the feat against the Squirrels, earning the 3-0 victory.
The Roanoke Women’s Soccer team has teamed up with the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation’s Vs. Cancer program to change this. Throughout the season, the team is raising awareness and funds for local kids with cancer, and they will celebrate their efforts on October 12, 2019 during a home game against the Randolph-Macon College Yellow Jacket Women’s Soccer Team.
The Men’s tennis team had two players qualify to play in the ITA regional men’s Championship this past weekend at Mary Washington College. Twenty nine colleges sent 160 players players to the event where the top Division 3 players on the east coast compete in both singles and doubles. The players were flighted by their UTR rankings for a championship flight and from there B1 through B4 flights .
Roanoke College traveled to Lynchburg to face a Randolph College team that had won three of their previous five ODAC matches. After winning two close sets, the Maroons cruised to a third set win and a sweep of the WildCats.
The Roanoke College field hockey team traveled to face Washington and Lee in their Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) debut. The Generals kept the Maroons off the board as Roanoke fell in their conference opener.
The Maroons took their 2-3 league record to face the Quakers (3-2) with the winner moving up the conference standings. The two ODAC foes split the first two sets before the home team took the next two sets for the 3-1 victory.
The Roanoke College Men’s tennis team traveled to Randolph-Macon this past weekend for their invitational fall event. The participating schools were Methodist University, Bridgewater College, Randolph- Macon and Roanoke. The format of the event was individual pro set matches in both singles and doubles.
The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) announced the results of the 2019-20 Men's Swimming Preseason Poll on Friday afternoon. Roanoke College received one first place vote en route to being picked to finish runner-up in the Preseason Poll.
