Nunley Announces 2017-18 Men's Hoops Slate

SALEM, Va. –
Fourteen home games, including a pair of home tournaments, highlight the 2017-18 Roanoke College Men's Basketball schedule released by head coach Clay Nunley on Wednesday.

The Maroons will kick off the season by hosting the Dick Leftwich  Tip-Off Tournament. RC will face Bluffton to open the tournament on Nov. 17. Spalding and NC Wesleyan will play in the other game, with the consolation and championship set for Nov. 18.

Roanoke will play three consecutive home games following the tournament, taking on William Peace and Greensboro before opening ODAC play with Randolph-Macon on Nov. 29.

RC's first road game will be Dec. 2 at Methodist, followed by trips to Randolph on Dec. 6 and Virginia Wesleyan on Dec. 9.

The Maroons then return home to host the Cregger Invitational on Dec. 16-17. Nunley will face his alma mater Goucher on the 16th, while Wesley and Hood face off in the other first round game.

Roanoke will spend the end of the calendar year in New York when it takes part in the Tournament of Heroes in Staten Island. RC will take on SUNY-Oneonta on Dec. 29 and either Salisbury or the College of State Island on the 30th.

Roanoke will open 2018 with a home game against Lynchburg on Jan. 6 and will mark the first of 13 ODAC games to close out the season.
